  • Wonderful product - Review by Amanda
I love this product. We had frozen violet lemonade on vacation once and when the craving hit I knew I didn't have time patience or energy to grow edible violets and make a syrup. This syrup really works wonderfully the flavor is spot on. I've since used it to flavor crème brulee and scones with lots of success. (Posted on 8/3/2017)

I had this first in France. Champagne with violet syrup is amazing. I brought some home, it is equally good in mineral water with gas, it tastes like an Italian soda. (Posted on 4/29/2017)
  • violet syrup for candy making - Review by ak lawrence
My husband is British, and was craving a sweet known as Rose and Violet Creams, which is a white candy fondant made from sugar and cream and corn syrup flavored with rose and violet. Try as I might, I could not find a violet syrup anywhere, and after searching found Monin Syrups online. I purchased both the Rose and the Violet and after cutting my fondant in half, added a tablespoon of Rose syrup to one half, the Violet Syrup to the other.

The flavor was delicious and delicate, aromatic without being soapy, or having that strange aftertaste you get on the tongue after rose water. The Violet had almost a berry taste to it. I dipped the fondants in milk chocolate, but I think they would work just as well with dark chocolate, and I had rave reviews on both flavors, I might have to make these every Valentines Day.

I'm looking forward to trying more Monin Flavors like the candied orange with my fondant recipe. (Posted on 2/23/2017)

Excellent violet flavoring. Very good in tea, water, carbonated water, and ginger ale floats. (Posted on 5/27/2016)
  • My favorite Monin flavor - Review by Joby
We had water with violet syrup while visiting the South of France. I've been in love with this flavor since we returned; I was so excited to be able to get it in the US. It's a nice little afternoon pick me up when the days are hot. It has a lovely floral flavor that is less soft and round. (Posted on 2/28/2016)

I'm really happy with this flavor! Love your Monin flavors, and especially this one. My name is Violet, and lavender is my favorite color - I feel like you made this one just for me, ha! Thanks for all your good flavors it's so nice to have choices that don't include artificial flavors! (Posted on 5/2/2015)

  • Fresh, fruity floral flavor! - Review by Luckie
I love floral flavors in general, but this has to be one of my favorites. The flavor is very fresh and fruity, not quite as heavy on the floral as lavender or rose. Even people who don't enjoy floral flavors seem to like this. Some of my friends have described it as "grapey." I love this violet syrup mixed with sparkling water (vodka optional, heh) and it pairs very well with the white peach syrup. (Posted on 7/11/2014)
