Leave it to Monin to raise the bar on their own line. Since I'm a fan of anything Vanilla, I thought I'd give this product a try. WOW!! It's just what I needed without the bitterness of an extract or the sweetness associated with syrup to intensify the vanilla flavor to any recipe. A little goes a long way though. A 6 ml (2 pump serving) serving equals 25 calories- yet, I've only added a scant 1/2 pump to 8+oz size lattes and mixed drinks to achieve magnificent results .
I'll be adding it to flavor savory exotic stews, brioche and other similar breads, glazes, marinades, salad dressings, and just about any desert I can think of. In fact, I'll be adding a hint of it to my Sangria recipe made with brandy, along with the Monin Sugar Vanilla Syrup. I've made the Monin Dry Vanilla Soda with this concentrate, substituted a Fat-Free kind of Half & Half, added a drizzle of Monin Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Sauce at the bottom of the glass, and plunged in a tall straw.
