Individual Tiramisu

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup Monin Tiramisu Syrup, divided
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped into stiff peaks
  • 1 lb. pound cake
  • 1/4 cup strong black coffee
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Using an electric mixer beat the cream cheese and sugar together for 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  2. With the mixer running, slowly add 1/2 cup of the tiramisu syrup until well incorporated.
  3. Fold the whipped heavy cream into the flavored cream cheese mixture until fully mixed. Cover the mixture and set aside in the refrigerator temporarily.
  4. Slice the pound cake into 16 (1/2-inch thick) slices, then cut out circles from each cake slice using a 2” circular cookie cutter.
  5. Mix the remaining 1/4 cup of tiramisu syrup with the black coffee and begin to brush the cake slices with a light coat of the mixture.
  6. In an appropriately sized serving glass, place one cake slice on the bottom of each glass then add 2 Tbsp. of the cream cheese filling to each glass and spread into an even layer.
  7. Repeat step 6 with each serving, building on the original layer for each portion.
  8. Store the composed tiramisu glasses in the refrigerator, covered, for at least 30 minutes.  Dust the top of each Tiramisu with cocoa powder before serving.
