I love this in smoothies! Yes it's real ginger flavor not sugary ginger ale flavor which I'm not fond of. I also like a tiny bit with a shot of mango concentrate in a latte. Great flavor! (Posted on 3/7/2018)
Very Weird - Review by Dan
This is not sweet ginger syrup, or ginger ale - it is very strong pure ginger flavor. It is going to take a long time to figure out exactly how to use this. In carbonated water the ginger aroma does a loop through my mouth and nose and back down to my mouth. It hurts - not a good feeling. There is an odd flavor, kind of musty or old shoe smell. Not designed at all for use in carbonated water. In still water it is better, but still strange.
I honestly haven't figured out a use yet. All the ginger things I can think of are sweet or pickled (sushi ginger), and have a carrier with it.
If you know ginger and how to use it in beverages or food - this is probably a great syrup. (Posted on 3/20/2017)
