Flavor of the Month: Hibiscus

Floral and botanical flavors have been trending on food and beverage menus for a while now. As we’ve watched the appeal of florals grow, we’ve seen a rise in the popularity of flavors such as elderflower and lavender. This year, another floral is blossoming to become the next must-try flavor. Hibiscus, with its vibrant color and bold aroma, is perfect for crafting fun and unique drinks. This versatile flavor works well in several applications, from tropical cocktails and mocktails, to refreshing iced teas and smoothies. When adding floral notes to any beverage, subtly is key and pairing with another familiar flavor will ensure that your drinks are balanced and delicious. Try the Hibiscus Strawberry Soda for a bright and bubbly treat that’s incredibly simple to make.
