The Accounts Receivable Coordinator will assist with a variety of accounting functions. The qualified candidate will work closely with accounting, customer service, sales and customers. This key position will be responsible for day to day A/R functions as well as some general accounting activities.

Essential Functions:
  • A/R cash deposit and lockbox application of payment to customer accounts.
  • Updating and reconciling daily cash receipts report.
  • Reviewing and maintaining A/R Aging.
  • Applying bill back deductions for core coffee customers.
  • Researching and resolving short payments, unknown deductions (GL 42500), remaining balances on invoices and outstanding credit memos.
  • Tracking, receiving, and applying prepayments.
  • Managing credit card payments for prepay customers.
  • Resolving issues with prepay invoices.
  • Reconciliation and maintenance of customer ledgers.
  • Sending notification to customers of past due amounts
  • Respond to customer requests for account information
  • Keeping applicable sales reps aware of customer status, as it applies to any past due issues
  • General Accounting activities to include, but not limited to, assisting with expense reporting entry and coding, month-end reporting, updating customer information on the customer account, booking journal entries and maintaining accounting records
Job Requirements:
  • Associate degree in business/accounting is a plus; significant work experience may substitute for education.
  • 3 years of related work experience, preferably with a mid-sized company.
  • Microsoft Navision (operating system) experience a plus.
  • intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle a high-volume workload.
  • Critical thinker with a penchant for problem-solving.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, both interdepartmental and external.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • This position is compensated at an hourly rate and occasional overtime hours may be required.
