At MONIN, we love coffee, but we believe that the environment is equally important and that it is essential that we take care of it.
Take a look at these top tips from our coffee and hot drinks expert Attila Molnar and find out how you can reuse spent coffee grounds, what remains of the ground coffee after it has been infused in water.
In this third part, we will give you tips for reusing used coffee for your personal care.
Natural exfoliator
Coffee grounds are an excellent body exfoliator! It couldn’t be easier to prepare: simply add warm water or natural oil (coconut oil) to your used coffee and use your DIY exfoliator to remove dead skin cells.
Face mask
Mix two tablespoons of coffee grounds with an equal quantity of organic cocoa powder. Add three tablespoons of full fat milk or thick cream and then add a tablespoon of honey for a perfectly natural face mask containing alpha-hydroxy acids and antioxidants.
Caffeine soap
Boost your morning routine by making homemade soap using coffee. Combine your coffee grounds with some pure glycerin or with an organic soap and nourish your skin with caffeine, which it will absorb naturally.
Coffee for your hair
If you are used to using lots of hair products, your hair can quickly become tired and dull. Give it a radiance boost by massaging your hair with used coffee before shampooing it.
