You have heard of it, it’s everywhere, in drinkspastries and even cosmetics: yuzu is trendy!  

It mixes well with tea, Gin and yogurt, amongst others.

Not a difficult citrus, it will like to meet other liquids.

Let’s get creative! 

 

 

But first, do you know its story? 

 

Originally from East Asia, the yuzu combines the enchanting flavours of grapefruit, lemon and tangerine. Widely spread in Korea and Japan, now embraced and championed by the leading chefs in Western cuisine, it is the new premium citrus must-have on menus.

I am a hybrid between mandarin and Ichang lemon.

When you look at me, you may think “lemon” because my skin is yellow, but it is not smooth! I have not much flesh and I am not as juicy. Today, I am mainly cultivated in Japan. I am hard to pick because of big thorns, another reason why I am very coveted!

Yuzu Peach Iced Tea

Pour all ingredients into a tumbler filled with ice cubes. Stir well and garnish with citrus slices. Serve.

Yuzu Vintage Sparkling Lemonade

Pour all ingredients into a lemonade jar filled with ice cubes. Stir. Garnish with a lemon wheel and an orange zest. Serve.

Yuzu Ginger Green Iced Tea

Pour all ingredients into an ice filled tumbler. Stir. Garnish and serve.

Yuzu Mojito

Muddle mint, lime and MONIN Yuzu fruit mix into a glass. Fill up with crushed ice and add rum. Top with soda water. Stir gently. Add more crushed ice and garnish with a mint bouquet. Serve.

Yuzu Frozen Yoghurt

Pour all ingredients into a blender jug and add the ice content of a 360 ml glass. Blend until smooth (30 sec.). Pour into a smoothie glass. Garnish and serve.

Yuzu Saketini

Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake and double strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish and serve.
